Reflection of Unit 3


        In this unit, I learned about different type of movie, also I learned about movie’s history. I think movie is a tool to show us culture, through movie me can know about different culture in different countries. Also, some director loves use movie to tell us some social issues, maybe they will like to tell us about their home country’s issues, but some would like to tell us about the globe issues. We can always have a lesson through watching movie. Movies have different genre, we can choose different type that we want, such as action films, and horror films. Then, I learned about the award of Oscar. Oscar award is not depended on which movie have earn the highest money, it depended on many things, like the plot of the movie, the social effect, design of movie, lots of part make the best movie worth to take the Oscar award.
        My Aha moment on this unit is about the horror movie. I don’t know that why we need horror movie so bed, I thought this is just depended on who love to watch horror movie only. Through Stephen King’s essay I learned we need horror movie because we are not just insane, we wanted to fight whit our nightmare to show us how brave we are.
        When I am learning about this unit, I don’t know that movie have no sound in the early days, I can understand why the early movie scene is black and white, but I can’t imagine that how people can enjoy the movie without sound, and fortunately I am glad to be born in a technology era, we can enjoy different awesome movie and enjoy the awesome special effect in movie.

This product is famous in 60s, is this Balsa Wood Airplanes. This product is made by wood and this is a toy for kids in 60s. This product needed to do it yourself, which mean you need to create the airplanes by using the balsa wood, and glue them up, then you have a wooden airplanes, it is similar to paper airplanes but the wooden one would fly better.
