Reflection of Unit 2


In this unit, I learned about what is Pop-Culture. As we know culture is around us, also Pop-Culture is around us too. Pop-Culture this this most famous in the year decade, which mean in different yeas would have different Pop-Culture, such like music, movie, product, events, and people. Pop is relate to popular, it means of the people, and the common people or population at large, for example in 90s, people may like to listen blue, but nowadays people like listen to K-pop, that’s the different. Culture is the body of beliefs, behaviors, values, and thoughts that influence us every day.
        My Aha moment is on the beginning of this unit, I am really confused what is Pop-Culture and why we need to study this, but during the project, and some assignment I learned Pop-Culture is very important in our daily life, and in different generation have different Pop-Culture, because it depends on what are famous on that decade.
        Before this unit, I thought I am really understand what is Pop-Culture, but during the class, I just realize that no I didn’t , I didn’t know anything of Pop-Culture, during the notes and information, it help me to know more Pop-Culture, and different kind of Pop-Star, and the reason why they become famous.

This product is famous in 60s, is this Balsa Wood Airplanes. This product is made by wood and this is a toy for kids in 60s. This product needed to do it yourself, which mean you need to create the airplanes by using the balsa wood, and glue them up, then you have a wooden airplanes, it is similar to paper airplanes but the wooden one would fly better.
